Cumberland, historically known as “The Hub,” grew as a vital center of transportation and commerce through its railroads and highways. Today, it remains a thriving community that honors its past while looking toward the future. The name “The Hub” not only pays tribute to Cumberland’s roots but also represents a modern-day connection point—bringing together housing, neighborhood retail, and direct access to the Pennsy Trail. As the graphic designer, I led the development of the community’s overall branding, crafting a visual identity and design direction that reflected its history, purpose, and sense of place.
