Senior Thesis Capstone Project
Topic: Indianapolis Indians Rebrand Project Problem Space: The Indianapolis Indians have had several logo identities over their storied 100+ years history, however, they still have had the same primary logo and wordmark for 20 years. Despite the record-breaking attendances, a beautiful stadium, and a successful baseball club, the Indians have received criticism regarding their primary logo, and even their name. How might we develop cohesive branding experiences that communicate the culture and heritage? Hypothesis: If we are able to develop successful branding experiences for all fans regardless of background, then this Indianapolis baseball club will be able to achieve all of their aspirations in regard to fan engagement and attraction, merchandise and ticket sales, as well as giving their local community something to be truly proud of. With the proper research, decision-making skills, design execution, as well as marketing materials and style guide, we can develop a cohesive brand that will be successful for years to come.
